The River of Time Museum and Exploration Center welcomes various artists from the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation (FMYN) during a special one-day art fair open to the public.
The event begins Saturday, August 19th at 9am and runs until noon. Artists will explain their mediums and methods, and carefully selected works of art will be for sale. Visitors are also invited to tour the museum.
The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation is a tribe of 950 Native Americans from the upper Sonoran Desert of central Arizona. Located northeast of Phoenix in Maricopa County, Arizona, the 40-square-mile reservation is home to the Yavapai people, a once nomadic people who hunted and foraged in vast areas of Arizona’s desert lowlands and mountainous Mogollon Rim. is a small part of their ancestral territories.
