Narcotics Task Force arrest Yuma man and seize drugs and weapons

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – A 54-year-old Yuma man has been arrested for drug possession and armed misconduct.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), the arrest occurred around 7:10 a.m. on Friday, July 14, in the area of ​​East 35th Street and South Michigan Street, following a search by the Yuma County Drug Enforcement Administration (YCNTF). Occurred. A multi-agency task force consisting of YCSO and Homeland Security Investigation Service officers and employees issued the drug enforcement warrant.

After exercising the warrant, YCSO, with the help of YCSO K-9 Aisha, says the Special Committee found the following items:

  • 6.80 oz of methamphetamine.
  • 50 grams of black tar heroin.
  • 2.1 grams of cocaine.
  • Fentanyl 73 tablets.
  • 10 ounces of marijuana.

YCSO calculated the drug’s street price at $7,018. Task Force also seized 12 marijuana plants, THC production equipment, tools and multiple firearms.

After that, the Task Force arrested the suspect, a 54-year-old Yuma man, and placed him in the Yuma County Detention Center on the following charges:

  • Dangerous drugs for possession and sale.
  • Possession of narcotics and narcotics for sale.
  • Possession of marijuana.
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Illegal act with a weapon.
