The race, held at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, Mexico's capital, will take place on Sunday, June 15th, with a companion race for the NASCAR Xfinity Series starting the previous Saturday. The Xfinity race will be broadcast on The CW, while the Cup Series event will be shown on Prime Video.
“This has been an interest of ours for a long time,” said Ben Kennedy, NASCAR's executive vice president, chief venues and racing innovation officer. “We've been talking about ongoing changes to the schedule. If you go back a few years, we've been to new markets like Nashville and Austin, Texas. We went to the Coliseum for the Clash. … We did our first street race in downtown Chicago. And this will be something new for us again in a lot of ways. It will be our first time going south of the border and this will definitely be a monumental event for us.”
To get to your destination, you have to go places you've never been before. 🇲🇽
