The National STOL Series will be expanded with more events and new locations in 2023.
The 2023 season series kicks off on March 17th with the 3rd Annual Swamp STOL Competition & Fly-In in Jennings, Louisiana.
The series then heads to Somerton Airport in Yuma County, Arizona for Outlaw STOL on April 22-23. According to sources, this one-day competition was founded by Jonathan Staines in his 2020, making it his second year National STOL partnering with the event.
In May, SoCal STOL will move to Hrabob Airport in Riverside, CA. Home of EAA Chapter 1. Flababian, as the locals call themselves, hosts the only West Coast event in the National STOL Series, along with the 10th Annual Slow & Low Fly-In.
Wayne, Nebraska is the first new stop on the season’s schedule, making it the series’ most central event. As the only event to host both the National STOL and STOL DRAG competitions, it is making STOL history, officials said.
Sodbusters STOL takes place the weekend before EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, July 22-23 at Hartford Municipal Airport in Wisconsin.
