International tournaments…that’s the only way.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver has struggled to get people interested in his league, especially when it comes to All-Star Weekend. I mean, hell, do you care about that?
Yes, exactly.
I remember the point when you had to tune for the All-Star weekend because you knew it would be fire. Few people see today, and that’s a rating, raised by the 2025 edition of ASG. The second lowest rating in history For an iconic event of the past. (Related: “This Man is in His Emotions”: Stephen A. Smith sends an absolute nucleus to LeBron James to continue his crazy beef)
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game tallied just 4.7 million viewers, a 13% decline from 2024.
Things are so bad that even Silver has allowed the current All-Star format to smoke, and has done so at a league meeting held in New York recently.
“I thought we had made almost an immeasurable amount of progress. We sat there and thought this would be a little better, but it was a mistake,” Silver said.

There is only one solution to the misery of the NBA All-Stars. It’s an international tournament, no, I’m not talking about this garbage…
“People have floated us, but I don’t know if that makes sense… it’s all about bringing together all the countries.”

Take exactly what the NHL did in the NBA, a four-country showdown. We’re there with a bell on, I promise.
