The Lake Havasu City Fire Department is pleased to announce the selection of Garrett Roberts as the new Administrative Deputy Fire Chief. This appointment was the result of a national search process that included highly qualified candidates within and outside the fire department.

As Deputy Fire Chief, Garrett will oversee various administrative functions within the department, including fire protection/community risk reduction programs, emergency management, vehicle/facility services, grants, human resources management, and policy development. Additionally, Mr. Garrett will work closely with Chief Pilafus to ensure efficient operations and coordination with other city departments.
Garrett comes to the Lake Havasu Fire Department with 24 years of experience in fire and emergency medical services.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and has managed a variety of important projects, developed and implemented training programs to strengthen the future leaders of the fire service, fostered various partnerships and inter-agency collaborations, and provided emergency services. We have ensured a consistent and coordinated approach to response times.
Garrett is characterized by a commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and education. He earned his two master's degrees in Disaster Preparedness/Management Leadership and Business Administration from Grand Canyon University and is also pursuing a Doctorate of Education degree in Organizational Leadership. Mr. Garrett's educational background and work experience make him a perfect fit for the role of Managing Deputy Fire Chief.

He expressed confidence in Garrett's abilities, citing his academic background as well as his extensive experience in the fire and emergency medical services as important factors in his selection.
