New High School Diploma Completion Program for Arizona Adults

Get a fully accredited diploma online for free

Phoenix, Arizona: Arizona adults 21 and older can now complete high school online for free through a new program offered by the Graduation Alliance. Funded by a budget provided by the 55th Arizona Legislature, the Arizona Workforce Diploma Program results in an accredited high school diploma, not a GED.

“Graduating from high school as an adult is difficult because teaching is no longer an everyday task. Many adults want to earn a diploma but are juggling work, childcare, and other responsibilities, and their schedules are tight. We just can’t afford or budget to add an evening class to our school,” said Ron Klausner, CEO of Graduation Alliance. “The Arizona Workforce Diploma Program combines the flexibility of time and place with personalized support to give adult students everything they need to ultimately earn their high school diploma, free of charge.”

All Graduation Alliance courses are 100% online and do not require course materials or textbooks. Additionally, students can earn industry-recognized or stackable qualifications as part of their programs, providing both a high school diploma and marketable skills upon graduation.

“By stacking qualifications on top of a high school diploma, students can build resumes that will give them the confidence to look for a job after graduation,” says Klausner. . “We have selected a variety of courses that students can take that prepare them for entry-level jobs in high-demand career areas such as medicine, construction, and cooking.”

Arizona is home to approximately 689,000 adults without a high school diploma, according to 2020 US Census Bureau data. The average annual income for these adults may be significantly lower than for high school graduates, about $9,600 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).

“When a student drops out of high school, it not only affects the individual, but also the community and the country as a whole,” Klausner said. “By investing in the uneducated adult population, Arizona is developing its workforce and making Arizona a better place to live and work.”
