New Loop Sculpture Unveiling Set for April 29th

A new sculpture by local artist Joe Pagak will be unveiled at The Loop on Saturday, April 29th.

The official unveiling ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM at the intersection of The Loop and Mountain Avenue footbridges on the north side of the Lilith River.The new sculpture is sponsored by El Tour de Tucson Working with Pima County.

Jeff DaCosta, public art program manager for Pima County, said the sculpture has been in the works for the past two years.

Pagak has painted many large-scale murals in the Tucson area, including the famous “Epic Ride” mural at the corner of Stone Avenue and Sixth Street. A list of some of his works and their locations can be found at: http://joepagac.net/mural-map.
