For the second time in a week, the New Orleans Pelicans' social media team hilariously trolled Stephen A. Smith on Twitter.
Last week, the team responded to Smith's criticism of star forward Zion Williamson with a hilarious highlight reel that showed Smith lacking in athleticism.
Captioned “Swarm Stephen A. Smith Highlights,” the video shows Smith taking jump shots in the air, throwing terrible first pitches, falling to the ground and weakly boxing. This is a 30-second highlight reel overlaid with audio criticizing Williamson.

The video includes photos of his performance from the 1990-1991 season at Winston-Salem State University, where he apparently averaged 1.5 points per game and is objectively entertaining. Thing. Smith applauded the Pelicans in a 10-minute rant posted on Twitter with the caption, “We got your attention, Pelicans.”
But the Pell family's social media team proved themselves to be far more socially savvy than Smith, saying, “I don't see that. I'm happy for you too. Or, sorry, yeah.” It has become.”

Just amazing. *Chef's Kiss* An absolute masterclass in trolling in the internet age. In my opinion, this is a very Trumpian approach.
Oh, are you going to post a 10 minute video rebutting us point by point? Yeah, we don't care. This is a meme. Read that and cry, you idiot.
I like Stephen A. and think this whole beef is definitely of a good nature. But this episode clearly illustrates the conflict between linear media and the burgeoning online ecosystem.
Smith is the undisputed king of linear sports media and has recently been moving into the online game with a podcast and a growing number of social media videos. But the Pelicans have made it clear how out of their depth Smith is in this area.
