Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith (now fired) berated Dennis Allen of the New Orleans Saints after Sunday's game, but upon investigation, it turns out it wasn't Allen's fault at all. It turns out there wasn't.It was more of a quarterback. Jameis Winston And the rest of the Saints offense. With a minute left in the game and New Orleans holding a clear 41-17 advantage, the Saints lined up for victory and looked like they were going to take a knee to run out the remaining time. But he was completely at the mercy of the Falcons and punched the running back. jamaal williams for a touchdown.

Now, when the clock struck midnight and it was time for a postgame handshake, Smith approached Allen, but before he could get close to him, he ran over a garbage-time touchdown to the Saints' head coach in quick succession. I threw a bomb.

When I asked Allen about it, he told his players to take a knee and stop the game, but they decided to stand up to him as a team and executed their own play to score Williams. I would say I did.
Dennis Allen said Jamaal Williams asked if he could score a TD. He said, “No, I wanted to get on my knees.” He said the players executed the play anyway. He said it was natural for Arthur Smith to be upset.

Winston told reporters the offense “made a collective decision” to get Williams for the TD.

This should be a bit of a red flag for Saints fans…Dennis Allen clearly can't control this team. oh.
