Central Arizona College Announces Career Development and Job Skills Platform Called CAC Pipeline to Help Students and Pinal County Job Seekers Explore In-Demand Careers That Match Their Skills and Pinal County’s Economic Needs To do.
CAC Pipeline is part of a new partnership with Pipeline AZ, Arizona’s career development and employment skills platform, to provide local solutions to drive economic opportunity and development.
“CAC Pipeline is more than just another job board for students. Leveraging Pipeline AZ’s technology, CAC students can explore areas of interest and find jobs that meet the workforce needs of their community. We can identify skills and training opportunities,” said Carrie McIntyre, Academic Success Coordinator at Central Arizona College, in a press release. “Pinal County continues to grow with more and more in-demand career opportunities such as software developer, business management, social work, cybersecurity analyst, teacher, graphic designer, nurse and construction designer. Sustainability possible future.”
CAC Pipeline will serve as the career exploration and talent development infrastructure for all CAC students using Pipeline AZ’s white label platform and services. According to the release, the platform will provide students and job seekers with advanced insight into the exact skills, education, or certifications they need to reach their career goals.
Once a profile is completed, users will have access to a wide range of career exploration opportunities and information. This includes job shadowing, service his learning, field experience, research, apprenticeships, further education, and other opportunities unique to Pinal County.
“Pipeline AZ’s partnership with CAC brings together educators, local employers, community partners and students on one platform to deliver workforce solutions that highlight in-demand career paths.” said Catherine Pappas, Senior Vice President, Pipeline AZ. “The platform’s skill mapping technology helps job seekers embark on new paths, level up existing careers, explore jobs and work-based learning opportunities, and discover new passions for lifelong success. It also gives local employers access to current and rising talent: local talent.”
All CAC students will have access to customized career exploration tools and support through the Pipeline AZ platform. The platform not only showcases Pinal County-specific career opportunities, but also statewide career opportunities.
Pinal County job seekers who are not enrolled in a CAC degree program can also set up a profile to explore careers and find local training programs that can help them reach their career goals. Local employers will be able to post jobs. The list includes required skills, certifications, and degrees.
