The New York State Supreme Court on Thursday refused to block President-elect Donald Trump’s sentence.
Judge Juan Marchand is scheduled to rule on Mr. Trump’s case in New York on Friday morning, and Mr. Trump has asked both the New York Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court to block the ruling.
“Your proposed order to show cause was reviewed by Judge Rivera, but the judge declined to sign the order.” order state. “As a result of the judge’s decision, no petition in the above matter is pending before the Court of Appeals.”

The Supreme Court has not yet decided whether to allow President Trump to move up his sentence.
