News Flash • MCACC Holds Poster Contest Ahead of New Shelter

PHOENIX, AZ – Dogs can be great companions and true friends as they bring loyalty, love, and joy into our lives. To celebrate the grand opening of the new animal shelter, scheduled for early May, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) is inviting students to submit their own original animal shelters. artposter jobs 2024 Contest“A dog is a child's best friend.”

Maricopa County students in grades 3-4 or 5-6 can submit a poster using any medium on the theme “Dogs are a Child's Best Friend.” Please do not include brand names in your entries.

“We know many special new friendships will be formed this spring as families adopt pets from the new East Valley Animal Shelter, so this is the perfect way to celebrate its opening. We believe that there is,” said Kim Powell, a spokesperson for MCACC.

Entries must include a short message about how the poster supports the theme and must be large enough to be easily seen and understood. Posters will be judged with emphasis on originality. artWork and message delivery.

There is no cost to submit an entry. Deadline for entries is April 12, 2024.

Winning entries will be displayed at the new shelter in Mesa. Prizes include free park admission coupons from Maricopa County Parks and Recreation, value bags from the Maricopa County Library District, and more.
