Dan Snyder no longer owns the Washington Commanders. NFL owners voted and unanimously approved the sale of the franchise from the Snyder family to a group led by Josh Harris at a special meeting Thursday.
Harris & Co. pays a lot of money $6.05 billion This is a record for a North American sports team. Most of the owned Commander Since 1999, Snyder and his family have acquired 100% ownership after acquiring Limited Partners two years ago.
“Congratulations to Josh Harris and his incredible group of partners,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “Josh will be a great addition to the NFL.
“…I know he is passionate about not only winning on the field, but also running an organization that everyone can be proud of and making a positive contribution to the community.”
