America, meet Nick Bienz!
The Golf Galaxy employee will compete in the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic after winning a playoff in Monday's qualifying round.
Bienz, who played at the Orchard Golf Club in Washington, Michigan, 7 under 65one of five golfers to achieve that feat. But with only four spots left in the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Bienz had to play in a five-on-four playoff, facing Angelo Giantsopoulos, Bean Breo, Brandon Berry and Danny Guise.

I downed not one, not two, but three ice cold beers! And it was worth it!
The match ended in an eight-hole playoff, with Breau falling short despite two birdies on the final hole and having to watch from the outside.
Bienz has never played in a PGA Tour-sanctioned tournament before. He will now be one of 156 golfers Thursday morning at the Detroit Golf Club. Which group he will be in will be announced Tuesday afternoon.
