Nick Saban to address Mercedes workers amid ongoing union push in Alabama

Saban, who is known for running multiple Mercedes-Benz dealerships, is reportedly scheduled to address workers at the company's Vance factory on Thursday amid growing debate about unionization.

In January at the beginning of the year, United Auto Workers Union announced plans to form a union, as more than 30% of the factory's workers have already signed union cards.

Now, the news that Saban will address workers comes just days after it was announced: more than half of employees signed union cards.

Meetings with Saban are reportedly mandatory for all employees and team members, but it's unclear what exactly Saban will be working on.

Saban has been an outspoken advocate for unionizing college athletics as college sports continue to change and evolve.

Through Saban's Dream Motor Group, he owns seven Mercedes dealerships in the Southeast, but he usually doesn't do much.
