Land's No. 1 team was defeated!
Fred Hoiberg, head coach, nebraska cornhuskers (13-3, 3-2 Big Ten) basketball program had one word to describe his team's biggest win in more than 40 years: “Incredible.”
And that was when the Purdue Boilermakers, the No. 1 team in the land, suffered a crushing loss to the Huskers. 88-72 lossI've never seen such a great upset. 41 years Nebraska beat a ranked team. That victory came against Missouri State. Plus, it's the first time the Cornhuskers have beaten No. 1 at home since beating Michigan in 1962.
“I'm really proud of the guys that came out and got off to a really good start,” Hoiberg said, according to ESPN. “It's a big win for our program to be able to come here and beat what I think is the best team in the country. It shows what we're capable of.”

Hell…this season is going to end the same way last season did.
In the 2022-23 season, there was a team that climbed to No. 1 in the rankings just by losing, and it appears that's happening again, this time with Purdue suffering its first loss of the season. I think that means Houston is next in line. Therefore, as a betting man I have to ask: Who will they play next?
