Tucson, Arizona — Stanford hasn’t lost in over two years. It will be even longer after the Cardinals bounce back from one of their worst performances of the season with arguably their best performance, showing the nation why the NCAA selection committee still considers them the No. 1 seed.
Cameron Brink and Hayley Jones each scored 18 points while No. 6 Cardinal delivered a strong rebounding performance to beat No. 17 Arizona 84-60.
The Cardinals (23-3, 11-2) have won six in a row against the Wildcats (18-6, 8-5). Stanford finished first in the conference, half a game behind No. 7 Utah.
Stanford fell to sixth in the AP poll after losing 72-67 in Washington on Sunday, but the NCAA selection committee revealed the current top 16 teams at halftime on an ESPN broadcast.
