Nogales, Tubac have Fourth of July events in store

Heading south on Interstate 19 this Fourth of July, Santa Cruz County offers several options for your 4th of July celebration.

Nogales, Arizona has a lot to offer. The 10am parade begins on Nelson Street at the border and ends at Memorial Park (101 E. Adams St.).

From there, the festivities move to Fleischer Park at 1500 N. Hohokam Dr., where celebrations are held from 4pm to 11pm.

According to the event, the event will include food, fireworks and live entertainment. Nogales City website. Admission is free.

In Tubac, Independence Day is celebrated at the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park from 10am to noon.

The Tuback Rotary Club offers hours of food and entertainment, including free hot dogs, ice cream and watermelon. Bring the kids to celebrate the country’s independence with kid-friendly activities like throwing water balloons, chalk drawing and face painting.

Event planners say a high-flying event will be held toward the end of the rally, courtesy of the Arizona National Guard. Admission is free.

The Tuback Presidio State Historic Park is located at 1 Burruel St.
