North Rim of Grand Canyon opens May 15 for 2025 season

The North Rim in Grand Canyon National Park will open at 6am on Thursday, May 15th, marking the official start of the 2025 season. Grand Canyon Lodge and Grand Canyon Trail Ride will also begin seasonal operation for 2025 on this date.

Visitor services, including the campsite, Grand Canyon Conservancy Bookstore and the Backcountry Information Centre, will be held daily from 10am to 10am and are available daily to offer a Park Ranger program overlooking the Roaring Springs kiosk until October 15th. The final day of the 2025 season for most commercial services is October 15th, 2025.

The Bright Angel Point Trail in North Rim, which leads to Bright Angel Point, will be closed for construction throughout the 2025 season. The trail will be closed to all pedestrian traffic as National Park Service (NPS) officials replace asphalt, move large rocks, and operate equipment operated in these areas. This closure is necessary for staff protection and public visits during extensive repair efforts to the Bright Angel Point Trail.
