LITTLEFIELD, Arizona — Sunday afternoon's northbound trip near Littlefield, Arizona, was interrupted by a crash near mile marker 16 on Interstate 15.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said both northbound lanes were closed around 2:30 p.m.
Officials do not predict when the road will reopen, suggesting travelers expect delays and seek alternative routes. Traffic in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 was not affected by the incident.
Transportation officials said in a warning that “no scheduled time has been determined for the reopening of northbound lanes.”

update: Transportation officials updated the Arizona website at 5 p.m. to say one northbound lane was clear and traffic was moving.
