Let's talk about a bad night…
The 21st-ranked Clemson Tigers traveled to Blacksburg to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies in Wednesday night's ACC contest. The former were the favorites to win, but the Hokies advanced, so it was a totally embarrassing night for them. 87-72 come-from-behind victory.
Clemson's defense was absolutely terrible, allowing the Hokies to shoot 54 percent, including an additional 54 percent from behind the arc. In fact, Clemson's defense was so bad that three different Hokies set career highs in points. It was terrible. On top of that, the Tigers were also outbound, which obviously didn't help the cause.
At one point during the game, Clemson's frustration boiled over from the bottom to the top. (Related: Banana suit-wearing fan tries to rush to court after freaking out, but things go horribly wrong)
Guard while the Tigers are playing offensively Joseph Girard III He was casually walking across the court (next to the Clemson bench) while other teammates were running. Now, it appears that head coach Brad Brownell was frustrated with Girard's lack of energy and decided to give him a pep talk to get him going.
I can understand the manager's frustration and it's clearly the players' fault, but this isn't a very good way to look at it.
not at all.

Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what the fallout from this whole situation is.
