Legendary actress and Academy Award winner Sally Field has admitted that Burt Reynolds refused to support her career as she skyrocketed to fame.
According to , Field opened up about her complicated relationship with Reynolds in Dave Karger's upcoming book “50 Oscar Nights.'' people. She reportedly said that Reynolds “wasn't happy” when she started finding success with her role in “Norma Rae.” “He wasn't really a nice guy around me at the time,” the 77-year-old star revealed, according to the newspaper.

Field went on to talk about the turbulent time she was preparing to attend the Cannes Film Festival, and Reynolds credited his support behind the success she saw as a result of her career-changing role in Norma Rae. People newspaper reported that he blatantly refused to throw the ball. .
“He didn't want me to go to Cannes at all,” Field said. Bookaccording to People magazine.
The famous actress spoke about her high-profile relationship and revealed that Reynolds wasn't encouraging at the time and also tried to diminish her success with criticism.

She recalled the frustrating situation.
“When the Oscars came around, he wasn't really a nice person around me at the time, and he wasn't going to go with me,” Field said.

Field admitted that she “didn't know what to do” when she realized he wasn't going to accompany her, People magazine reported.
