Nude man illegally enters victim’s home while on shrooms | Kingman Daily Miner

LAKE HAVAS CITY – A man in Lake Havasu City was arrested last week on a felony trespassing charge after police said he ingested a hallucinogenic mushroom. He then stripped naked and broke into his neighbor’s house illegally.

The incident began at approximately 10:20 p.m. on April 23, when the City of Lake Havasu Police Officers were summoned to a house on the 3400 block of Big Chief Drive in connection with a domestic incident. While responding officers received statements from homeowners, a police dispatcher informed them that there had been a robbery just a few doors away.

According to police, the first caller informed officers that a family member, identified as Connor J. Sikkenga, a 20-year-old Havasu resident, had ingested hallucinogenic mushrooms and was behaving erratically. The homeowner contacted the police dispatcher before finding Shikkenga lying naked on the kitchen floor.

When police arrived on the scene, Shikkenga reportedly got up from the floor and left the house through the back door.

As officers received the reporting party’s statement, dispatchers informed them that a robbery involving a naked man was underway at Block 3400 on Mockingbird Drive, three houses away.

Responding officers immediately went to the location, where Sikkenga – still naked – appeared to be leaving the residence.

Sikkenga appeared surprised by the police’s arrival and attempted to re-enter the victim’s home before police stopped him. Threatened to taste if. Sikkenga was taken into custody at the scene.

When Sikkenga was arrested, he allegedly admitted to consuming an eighth ounce of “magic” mushrooms that night. Because of that remark and Sickenga’s erratic behavior, officers transferred him to the Havasu Regional Medical Center for possible evaluation before ultimately detaining Sickenga at the Lake Havasu City Jail.

Sikkenga told officers that while under the influence of the mushroom, he had an argument with his father before leaving the house that night, according to police. , said he accidentally entered the house where the robbery allegedly took place.

Upon entering the unfamiliar residence, Sikkenga said he was surprised by the homeowner. He is said to have told police that he apologized to the homeowner before noticing the painting on the homeowner’s wall.

Sikkenga slapped his hands and slammed the abstract on the floor. According to his complaint to investigators, the colors in the painting frightened him.

When questioned in the case, Sikkenga reportedly told investigators that he never intended to use hallucinogenic mushrooms again.

Sikkenga is charged with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and indecent exposure and one felony count of trespassing.

As of Monday, Sickenga does not appear to be in custody at the Mojave County Jail, and his case has not yet been filed in the Mojave Superior Court.
