Sheri Diane Faber-Davis passed away peacefully on April 3 at her granddaughter’s home in Eloy, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Winslow, Arizona on August 31, 1938. A few years later her family moved to Williams, Arizona and she graduated from Williams High School in 1956. She was very active and popular in high school. She’s on the women’s softball team, the drama club, the glee club, the pom-pom girl, and the sports editor for the Viking newspaper.
Sheri married Donald Walker at Williams in 1956 and had a son, Donnie.
In 1961 she married Arthur Faber and had two wonderful children, Terrell (Terry) Faber and Lisa Faber-Ogle. She moved to Kingman, Arizona, where she raised her children and will spend most of her life there.
Her career at Kingman began at the original Mojave County General Hospital downtown, before moving to Kingman’s new hospital in 1970 as an administrative assistant.
Always very bright, Cheri would go on to have an impressive 35-year career as a business manager in the Kingman Unified School District. While Cheri is busy with her family and work, she always finds time to support children’s sports and activities or volunteer for her sports program for children at Kingman. was enthusiastically engaged in
Cheri’s most important role in life was being a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to a beautiful growing family. She was so proud of each one of them. She is survived by her son Donnie, her daughter-in-law Pam, and her grandson Ryan. Her daughter Lisa, her son-in-law Bryant, her granddaughter Brandi Ogle, her grandson-in-law Bryant Jr., and Ogle’s great-grandchildren Evan, Bryant III, Hunter, and Wyatt. her granddaughter Sierra Faber and her great-grandchildren Slater Boyd and Copellan Allred. Her granddaughter Beth Faber, her brother Curtis Gardner, and three nieces: Christy Haslam, Tracy Riley, Seantel Larson, and two nephews: Scott Gardner and Sean Gardner.
She is predeceased by her father and mother, Edmund (Babe) Gardner and Evelyn Jones Gardner-Peters, and by her loving stepfather, Louis Peters. Her son Terry Faber, her brother Sydney, Mike Gardner and sister Dorsia Gardner.
In lieu of Flowers, families are asking for donations to a local high school sports program.
The Celebration of Life will be held June 17 from noon to 3:00 pm at Miss Kitty’s Steakhouse, 642 E Rte 66, Williams, AZ. Friends and family are also welcome to attend.
