Colleen Love was born on January 19, 1938 in a hospital in Santa Clara. At the time of her birth, she and her family lived in San Jose, California, but she passed away on June 12, 2023 in Prescott, Arizona.
She loves classical music and has been learning to play the violin since childhood. She became a registered nurse and won several awards for her achievements. She enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, and bowling, and was a member of the United Methodist Church. She retired from Yavapai County Hospital in 1988. Colleen married David Love and adopted his two children, David Jr. and Steve.
Her grandson Joshua died before her.
Colleen has sons David Jr. and Steve, grandchildren Jonathan, Andrew, Sarah, Alyssa, Crystal, Kelly, and seven great-grandchildren, brother Jim Oswald, sisters Dorothy “Chris” Boarich and Molly Schneider. Sisters, and many others are left behind. niece and nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Yavapai County Humane Society in her name.
