Nancy was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and passed away surrounded by her family.
Nancy was the 12th child born to Louise Farrell White and Frances White. She has a sister, Elsie White Heuerman, and four of her five children, Rebecca (Becky) Roop, Brenda McKee, Janet Bradford, Russell Bradford, and many nieces and sisters. He has nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Nancy will be cremated and her ashes will be placed in the family cemetery on 12 Mile Mesa, just west of Maybelle, Colorado. A ceremony to celebrate her life will be held on July 8, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday during Social-Member Appreciation Day at Wheat Her Ridge Historical Park (where she was born). is done in
Nancy lived in various locations throughout her life, but was based in Maybelle, Colorado and retired to Yuma, Arizona in 1999.
She held many jobs throughout her life, but her last “job” was as owner of Thotherd Glass in Craig, Colorado with her husband, Billy Southard.
Nancy was a Girl Scout volunteer in Bolingbrook, Illinois, leader of Moffat County’s 4-H, a member of the Eastern Star of Craig, and a member of the Craig, Colorado square dance team.
The family is asking for donations to the Wheatridge Historical Society in lieu of flowers.
