Police reportedly accused actor Jean Claude Van Dam of intentionally engaging in sexual relations with a trafficked woman.
Authorities filed criminal charges against the actor with the Romanian Bureau for investigation into Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), CNN Affiliate Antenna 3. It has been reported. They accused Van Dunme of acquiring five Romanian women from Cannes as “gifts” and knew they had been trafficked by a criminal group led by Morel Borea.

Attorney Adrian Kuchris, the representative of one of the trafficked women, issued a statement about allegations made against the famous “timecop” and “sudden death” martial arts actor. According to Antena 3, an individual claiming to have witnessed the alleged incident occurred at an event hosted by Van Damme in Cannes, urging authorities to launch a criminal investigation.
“We are discussing an outrageous case that is not new to the Romanian prosecutor’s office. From a statement given in cases of minors and trafficking, which began with investigations since 2020, one of the victims spoke to the prosecutors at a certain point in Cannes, an event in which Jean-Claude van damme is incorporated. According to the translated article, Cucris allegedly offered to Jean-Claude van damme to Jean-Claude van damme for five Romanian women – a Romanian photo model – to have a sexual relationship with him.
“The people who received these benefits knew their terms. It is very clear from the statements of the witnesses that Jean-Claude Van Damme knew that these people were being exploited,” he argued.
