The Buckeyes head to DC!
In President Donald Trump’s first term, sports champions who refused invitations from the White House were “to do.”
Fast forward to 2025 and things are completely different.
Ohio, which won the College Football Playoffs National Championship in January, is the latest to accept an invitation from Trump to visit him at the White House. (Related: “Thank you for the service”: Tennessee’s Blue Parliament praises Scott Jennings for allowing CNN to be monitored)
At a press conference Monday, coach Ryan Day confirmed that he and his team will visit the president. April 14th.
Like Trump’s second semester, Day made one hell of comebacks in 2024. In December, the skipper was experiencing it after the Buckeyes suffered. Four consecutive losses To Michigan. In fact, many of OSU’s loyal hopes have been fired. Many say that he can only hold it if he wins a national championship.
Well, it did exactly that and now he’s headed to the White House!

It’s nice to see this culture change.
So, what he was trying to do was trying to help us, it was a bit heartbreaking in the first four years to see so many Americans hate Trump. Now people are grateful for that. It’s good to watch.
