One dead, 50 injured after bus rolls over at Grand Canyon in US’ Arizona

A bus overturned in the Grand Canyon, Arizona, on Tuesday morning, killing one person and injuring more than 50, local emergency officials said, according to CNN.

A total of 57 people were involved in the accident at Grand Canyon West just before 10 a.m., CNN reported in a news release.

Eight people were taken to nearby hospitals after the incident, according to a statement. Those with minor injuries were transported by ground transport.

Officials said the rollover occurred inside Terminal 1’s Grand Canyon Resort Corps Circle.

Grand Canyon West is located within the Hualapai Reservation on the western rim of the canyon in Arizona. Hualapai State Police and the Arizona Department of Public Safety are investigating the death, according to a statement.
