One person dies after vehicle falls into Grand Canyon

A tragic event unfolded at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, where a vehicle went off the edge of the canyon, resulting in one fatality.

On Sunday, September 7th, a car, carrying one individual, traveled too close to the South Kaibab Trailhead. Reports reached the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center around 12:40 PM.

Park Rangers were on the scene swiftly and managed to recover the remains. The body was then transported by helicopter to the Rim and subsequently taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The National Park Service, in collaboration with Coconino County Medical Inspectors, is currently looking into the circumstances surrounding this incident. At this moment, no additional details have been released.
