YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – One person sustained a gunshot wound during an attempted murder. The Yuma Police Department (YPD) said the incident occurred around 3:06 a.m. Saturday.

YPD also said the incident occurred in the W. 16th Street and S. Avenue A area. And start shooting.

The victim then sped off in his car as the suspect chased him. The victim then stopped near his 16th Street and Dora his Avenue. When the YPD arrived, someone was tending to the victim. He had a gunshot wound.

The victim was then taken to the Yuma Regional Medical Center, but his injuries were not life-threatening. However, the victim’s car was damaged by multiple gunshots.
