Top 30 Padres contenders Ethan Salas and Graham Polley enjoyed a rerun on Tuesday night.

Already the Padres’ No. 2 contender, 17-year-old catcher prodigy Salas had two straight three-hit games, 3-for-6, 1 RBI, and raised Single-A Lake Elsinore’s batting average to .280.

And recently added to the Top 30 list, Pauley hit a 2-for-5 homer and a stolen base on a high single-A Fort Wayne. He hit a second home run in four of 16 games with Fort Wayne, which is the same number as 62 with Lake Elsinore.

Also in Fort Wayne, second baseman Nellwillian Cedeno (179 batting average), the 12th pick for the Padres, had one for three and walked two. Padres center fielder Jakob Massey (.259 batting average) had two hits in three, walked two, stole two bases and had an RBI. Padres first baseman Nathan Martorella (.270 batting average) went 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and two walks.

Padres fourth place candidate Robbie Snelling allowed four runs (3 earned runs) with 4 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in the 2nd inning, losing 1 to 1 with Fort Wayne with an ERA of 4.12.

Center fielder Samuel Zavala (255 batting average), the Padres’ fifth-place contender, had 0-for-3, walked two, sacrificed, and had two RBIs against Lake Elsinore. Padres shortstop Rosman Verdugo (.240) doubled, walked, stole, RBI, and RBI.

Padres’ No. 1 shortstop prospect Jackson Merrill (.176) went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Double-A San Antonio. Catcher Brandon Valenzuela (.282 batting average) had 1-for-3 with 1 walk, 1 stolen base and 1 RBI for the Missions. Ryan Burgert, the Padres’ No. 24 prospective right-handed starter, lost in his first start with the Missions, giving up five hits, two walks, three strikeouts, and four runs in three innings.

Second baseman Yendley Rojas (207), the Padres’ 17th-ranked contender, had 0-for-3, 1 walk and 1 run in the Arizona Complex League. Catcher Lamar King, Jr. (.311), the 21st pick for the Padres, had 1-for-4 and 1 stolen base in the ACL.

Triple-A El Paso (4–12, 36–55) — Oklahoma City 7, Chihuahua 6: LF Oliver Mercado (.208) had 3 for 5, a triple, two RBIs, and a run. SS Ray-Patrick Dider (.182) had two hits for his four at bats, a double, a stolen base and two runs scored. DH Preston Tucker (.327) hit a home run with two walks in three. C Brett Sullivan (. 320) recorded a double, 1 RBI, and 1 RBI in his AB in the 4th inning. 3B Janzen Witte (. 297) recorded an RBI double on his AB in the fourth inning. 1B Ben Gammel (. 182) and he 2B Max Schrock (. 269) each had 1-for-4. Starting RH Nolan Watson (9.82 ERA) threw 4 2/3 innings, allowing 8 hits, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts and 4 runs. RH Jared Koenig (3.42) allowed his three hits, including a 2 K, in a 1 1/3 scoreless IP. RH Domingo Tapia (5.93) was scoreless, but he allowed a hit for 2Ks. RH Robert Suarez (16.20) gave up three hits and two runs, including a K, in two-thirds IP in his final rehab trip. LHP Jose Castillo (1-3, 9.82) gave up one run on two hits by K in two thirds of the IP.

Double-A San Antonio (6–10, 43–42) — Frisco 6, Mission 2: 3B Juan Fernandez (.290) went 1 for 3, stole 1 run, and finished behind Merrill and Valenzuela in points. LF Daniel Johnson (.248 batting average) recorded a double in four at bats. 2B Marcos Castanon (batting average 231) was a sacrifice fly with 1 hit in 3 at bats. RH Robert Miracchi (4.50 ERA) followed Burgert’s lead, allowing two runs with two hits, two walks and one strikeout. RH James Burke (3.65) scored 3 K on 2 IPs and allowed him 1 on hits and walks. RH Lake Bashar (3.60) allowed two hits, including a walk, on a scoreless IP.

High Single-A Fort Wayne (12–7, 44–41) — Lake County 8, Tincaps 5: C Anthony Vilard (.125) hit a solo homer with 2-for-4 and scored two runs behind Cedeno, Marzee, Martorella and Pauley. RF Lucas Dunn (. 244) he had two walks and one at bat. RH Edwin Bencomo (5.68 ERA) also followed Snelling, giving up three runs in two innings with four hits, one walk and one strikeout. RH Ethan Lautsarn (4.93) gave 3 hits and 1 walk in which he scored 2 K on his 3 IPs and allowed 1 run. RH Jose Gerardo (5.30) allowed him 2 hits, 1 walk and 2 Ks on 2 IPs.

Single A Lake Elsinore (9–10, 40–42) — Storm 9, Rancho Cucamonga 8 (10 innings): LF Tyler Robertson (.328) had two solo homers, two walks and one stolen base in four at bats, scoring three runs behind Salas, Zavala and Verdugo. RF Kai Murphy (. 280) he had two hits for six with one RBI double. DH Nick Voigt (.250 batting average) walked 2, hit 1, stole 4, and had 2 RBIs and 0 for 2. 2B Charlie Aquino (.254) was 1 for his 4 at bat. Starter LH Fernando Sanchez (7.31 ERA) allowed 3 runs with 6 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts in the 4th inning. RH Nick Thwaites (3.38) gave him 4 runs (2 earned runs) on his IP, where he scored 2 K, gave 3 hits and walked 1. RH Thomas Balboni Jr. (7.54) recorded two perfect IPs in which he walked for 5K. RH Luke Boyd (3.10 ERA) won the game with 3 hits and 1 earned run in the 3rd inning.

ACL Rookie Padres (17–14) — Giants 11, Padres 6: RF Juan Murillo (. 347) hit 2-for-5 and had two runs behind Rojas and King. C. Carlos Rodriguez (.267) had 2-for-4 with 2 RBI. LHP starter Zach Chin (5.31 ERA) gave up three hits, two walks, and two strikeouts in the loss.

Dominican Republic Summer League Padres –

Orioles 5, Gold (18-12) 2: 2B Luis de Leon (.286) scored a run in two for two.

Brown (12–18) 5, Arizona 4: RF Nestor Chevalier (.286) had 3 for 5 and 2 RBI. 2B Joao Sierra (208) had two hits and one run in his four at bats. Starting RH Anthony Ortiz (2 wins, 1 loss, ERA of 6.17) won 1/3 of the 2nd inning without allowing a hit and a strikeout.

Gold (18–11) 1, Brown (11–18) 0: DH Hugo Sanchez (.286) hit a triple in three at bats and scored one. RH starter Alexander Agrammonte (1-2, 3.42 ERA) gave up 1 hit and 1 run in the 3rd inning, and suffered a loss with a strikeout. . Starter RH Johan Moreno (2.94) had four walks with four otherwise perfect IPs. RH Miguel Valdes (4-2, 5.13) allowed a hit in his second 1/3 inning to clinch the win.
