The game on Page last Tuesday was a loss, but I didn’t suffer from that memory on Friday. Everything went towards the Tuba City Warriors as Page won 12-2. Friday’s punk wasn’t new, given the Sand Devils have won four games on nine or more runs this season.

Wyatt Tallman looked comfortable when he hit six batters in 3.1 innings, but he gave up two runs scored from two hits. He’s consistent lately. He hasn’t given up on more than two hits this season whenever he pitches.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Yatzee, who scored two runs and stole two bases at 3-3. He also brought in three RBIs. This is notable otherwise at 1-2, as the page is unbeaten when posting at least three RBIs. Another player that makes the difference was Shaine Begay, who went 3-for-3 with one base, two RBIs and one double.

Page has been on a roll recently. They won three of the last four contests. This provided a great bump for the 4-2 record this season. The team also dominated the stretch, winning by an average of 11.7 runs. Tuba City currently has a 3-4 loss record.

Going forward, Page will win Tonopa Valley in Friday’s tournament. As for Tuba City, they’re going on a road trip to face Chinl at 3pm on Monday.
