On Thursday, Paige Spiranac revealed on her Instagram story the very strange reason why she’s not going to Lake Tahoe for the American Century Championship.
The former golf pro and social media influencer has amassed a staggering 3.8 million followers on Instagram, 1.5 million on TikTok and nearly 1 million on Twitter, but apparently that’s enough to keep her in the game. It wasn’t enough to keep
“People keep asking me if I’m going to the Celebrity Tournament in Tahoe this year, but unfortunately I wasn’t invited again,” Spiranac wrote. golf digest.
“I was told I wasn’t giving enough exposure on social media. I don’t think 4 million impressions was enough[laughs].”
Her explanation was difficult for fans to understand. Her millions of devoted followers wondered how she could possibly not live up to social media standards.

Spiranac has more followers on Instagram than golf legend Tiger Woods, who has 3.2 million Instagram followers. By comparison, Rory McIlroy has 2.6 million Instagram followers and Brooks Koepka just 1.2 million.

Spiranak finished T-24 in the 2022 tournament, according to Golf Digest.
