Parents Taken Into Custody After Mother Reportedly Sells 2-Year-Old Daughter To Drug Dealer

Oklahoma Mother Arrested in Child Abuse Case

A woman from Oklahoma City has been arrested on Tuesday for allegedly permitting child abuse involving her daughter, as recent reports indicate. The mother, Ashley Seajay Roland, 39, is facing serious accusations, building on an already troubling history regarding her daughter, London Kerr, who has been missing since 2022.

According to police, Roland previously claimed that London was living with her father in Georgia. However, investigators discovered this assertion to be false after looking into her claims. Eventually, Roland admitted that she handed her daughter over to a man named Carlos, who was later identified as a methamphetamine dealer.

Roland’s assertions indicate that this was the last interaction she had with London, with Carlos reportedly planning to return to Mexico afterward.

While London was thought to have been with her mother, alarming reports suggest that she faced abuse at the hands of Roland’s boyfriend, Joshua Paul Denton, 40. Witnesses have attested to Denton’s violent behavior, which included striking London with wooden paddles and even shooting her with a BB gun.

Additionally, Denton’s own children, aged 8 and 10, are alleged to have also witnessed or experienced abuse in this environment. We’re told Denton engaged in cruel acts, including pouring hot sauce into London’s eyes and confining her in a closet, alongside threats directed at his child to ensure silence regarding his treatment of London.

In a press release from the Oklahoma City Police Department, there’s a stated “extreme concern” for London’s safety, especially considering her status as a missing child. A post on August 6 identified London as “missing/in danger” and included her photographs prior to her disappearance.

Roland has been charged with one count of facilitating child abuse. Meanwhile, Denton faces multiple charges, including six counts of child abuse, six counts of forced sodomy, and other felony counts for related crimes.
