According to PCSO, the accident occurred Sunday evening near Ganzel Road and Painted Desert Drive.
SANTAN VALLEY, Ariz. – The driver was taken to the hospital after a Pinal County Sheriff's Office deputy was rear-ended in Santa Tan Valley, authorities said.
PCSO spokeswoman Lauren Reimer told 12News that impairment is being investigated as a possible factor in the accident.
The incident occurred Sunday evening near Guntzel Road and Painted Desert Drive.
The collision caused the second car involved in the accident to overturn.
The deputy was not injured in the accident. The other driver will be tested on suspicion of driving under the influence, the sheriff's office said.
Ganzelstrasse was closed to traffic in both directions at the scene of the accident.
