Pete Hegseth Announces He Is Ordering Equal Standards For Men And Women In Combat Roles

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses will issue equal standards for setting memos for men and women in combat roles across armed services, he announced on X on Monday.

Men and women now have different standards for their combat roles. The US Army decided to create different standards for men and women at the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) in 2022 after the land companies were discovered in A. study A woman failed the test at a much higher rate than a male counterpart. 65% of women failed the ACFT test at some point in 2021, prompting a change in standards.
