A tornado at least EF-2 in size hit the Nash County, North Carolina area Wednesday afternoon.
The tornado reached wind speeds of at least 135 miles per hour, tore a road through an area 45 miles northeast of Raleigh and damaged numerous major infrastructures. according to to CNN. We landed in Dochesse first, then crossed Interstate 95 into Rocky Mount. A spokesman for UNC Heath told the report that at least four people were treated for minor injuries.

A tree was also thrown on Interstate 95, blocking traffic in both directions for about an hour. Crew members are still investigating the full extent of the damage, but the tornado is believed to be classified as EF-2.The scale starts at EF-0 to EF-5suggesting that this was a medium-sized tornado, which is surprising given the damage.
