“Hard Knocks”…NBA version?
Not only did the Phoenix Suns provide complete evidence that they got the players they wanted in the 2024 NBA Draft (forward Ryan Dunn and Center Oso Ighodaro), but also offered a potential idea for the future: the NBA's version of the NFL's “Hard Knocks.” The Suns gave a behind-the-scenes look at the draft, and it was pretty epic.
The footage puts us right in the middle of the Suns draft strategy room, where Phoenix traded their 22nd pick to the Suns for the 28th pick and a future second-round pick, and the Suns were coveting Dunn, a wing out of the University of Virginia known for his athleticism and defensive prowess. What made things even better for the Suns was that they managed to acquire him despite dropping down six spots, in exchange for the Denver Nuggets' first-round pick, the 56th overall pick, and two second-round spots in the 2026 and 2031 drafts.
When the smoke cleared, Sans saw Dan Round 1is closing.

Commissioner Adam Silver, if you're reading this, you need to seriously consider launching an NBA version of “Hard Knocks”…I was very impressed with what the Suns put out.
