Special prosecutor Nathan Wade appears to have visited Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' neighborhood at least 35 times in 2021, according to phone data in Friday's court filing.
Lawyers for former President Donald Trump have obtained cell phone records from Wade, including her voice and text history and location data, according to a new court filing. According to an affidavit from the criminal defense investigator who conducted the investigation, the analysis found that Mr. Willis' home address in Hapeville, Ga., “was not connected to Mr. Wade's phone for an extended period of time at one of the nearest towers.” It turned out that the connection had been made at least 35 times. record.
This data appears to contradict Willis' denial that Wade ever spent the night at her house, and casts doubt on the timeline of when Willis and Wade's relationship began. Although both parties claimed the relationship began in 2022, phone records show Wade visited Willis' property multiple times in 2021.

Trump's co-defendant, Michael Roman, filed a motion in January to dismiss Willis from the case, alleging that Willis had profited unfairly from vacation time paid to nominate his girlfriend, Wade. blamed Mr. Judge Scott McAfee oversaw a hearing last week in which the defendants sought to prove that they had received a financial benefit.

The analysis also revealed “more than 2,000 voice calls and just under 12,000 text messages” between Willis and Wade over an 11-month period in 2021, including It also included a “prevalence of calls made at night.”

On September 11, 2021, Mr. Wade's cell phone arrived in Mr. Willis's neighborhood at 10:45 p.m. and remained there until 3:28 a.m. the next day, then returned to the East Cobb neighborhood near his residence and returned to Mr. Willis's neighborhood in the morning. “[O]On November 29, 2021, Wade's phone was ringing at the East Cobb Tower near his home, and after receiving a call from Willis at 11:32 p.m., the calls continued until after midnight. Mr. Wade's phone left the East Cobb area. and arrived within the geofence at the Dogwood address on November 30, 2021 at 12:43 a.m.,” the application states. “The phone remained on the line until 4:55 a.m.”
Willis and Wade both claim their relationship began in 2022, after Wade was hired. A longtime friend of Willis's testified at the hearing that their relationship began in 2019.
The District Attorney's Office did not respond to a request for comment.
