New York Times photographer Doug Mills appears to have captured the moment a bullet whizzed past former President Donald Trump's head during a shooting at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
A photo posted to Twitter's former Twitter handle, X, shows Mills capturing a thin line of bullets whizzing through the air as Trump was speaking to a crowd of supporters just after 6pm EDT. The bullets can be seen whizzing by, and a series of photos taken upwards towards Trump's podium show the president clutching his right ear in reaction.
In the third photo, Trump is seen holding out his hand, with what appears to be blood on his right hand. (Related story: 'They blew his head off': Witness says Trump tried to warn police right before assassination attempt)

Shortly after Trump began speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, loud gunfire rang out, sparking chaos among the crowd. Video posted online showed Trump's reaction, with members of the Secret Service quickly storming onto the stage to guard the former president.
After the attack, President Trump was rushed to a nearby hospital and was pronounced safe. sauce “I just had a minor injury to my ear, no broken bones, and I was examined by a doctor and I don't need surgery,” the former president told Daily Caller chief national correspondent Henry Rogers.
Information about the situation is limited, but law enforcement officials Said According to CBS News, the suspects used an AR-style rifle from 200 to 300 feet away. The shooters, who have not yet been identified, were reportedly on high ground in a shed outside the Secret Service security perimeter.
Authorities confirmed the death of the shooter and one member of the crowd who died in the attack, according to the Associated Press.
