There’s a guy in Pittsburgh!
The University of Pittsburgh has reportedly hired veteran Allen Green as its next athletic director. announcement from school on Friday.
Prior to his job at Pitt, Green was senior vice president and chief operating officer at the University of Tennessee and previously served as the athletic director at Auburn University and the University at Buffalo. He will start his new job Nov. 1 and take the keys from Heather Reich, who was fired by Pitt in September.
“I am inspired by Pitt Athletics’ storied history and am committed to helping the Panthers reach even greater heights in the future,” Coach Green said in an official statement. “I look forward to meeting and working with Pitt’s student-athletes, coaches, staff, and campus leaders.”
If not, one of the main reasons is of First of all, Pittsburgh’s reason for taking the athletic director position was to increase revenue. The Panthers found exactly what they were looking for, as Green had a solid background in football, finance, fundraising, and the NIL.
