Yuma, PD (azfamily) – Authorities released the names of the four men who died after the truck crashed into Yuma’s home earlier this week.
On Friday, Yuma police identified the four victims as 19-year-old Levander Smith, 20-year-old Giovan Orozco, 20-year-old Lewis Games, and 22-year-old Adrian Palacio.
At about 2:50am on Wednesday, Yuma police were called to crash, including the vehicle and a nearby home. South 48th 2800 blocknear 28th Avenue and S Avenue D.
Police say Smith drove a dodge ram pickup south on Avenue D when he left the road, rolling a brick wall and collided with a nearby home.
Smith, Orozco, Games and Palacio all died on the scene. Two other passengers, an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, were injured and taken to hospital, and are expected to be fine.
Police say there were three people in the house at the time of the crash. This includes a 37-year-old woman who was taken to hospital with a life-threatening injury.
Yuma PD says speeding and alcohol appear to be the factors behind the crash, and investigations are underway.
