Police are searching for a suspect after a brazen residential robbery at Flagstaff Residence Hill in St. James left two people injured and requiring medical treatment.
Police said two security guards were on duty in a residential area around 8:45 p.m. Saturday when a black Toyota Aqua pulled up next to the booth.
Four men got out of the car, one of them carrying a gun.
Before the officers could respond, the suspects were upon them.
They were beaten and had their hands and feet tied.
The suspects took cash, cell phones and even car keys from the victims.
Around the same time, two local residents arrived at the gate and attempted to enter.
They were confronted by two men who opened the door of a RAV4 SUV.
They pulled the two victims from the car and began assaulting them.
However, a scuffle ensued as the victims fought back.
The suspects then fled the scene.
Police were immediately alerted and a team of officers led by PC Wilson responded.
Crime scene investigators found usable fingerprints at the scene.
One of the guards and the 50-year-old resident were both transported for treatment.
We will let you know as soon as the details are decided.
