Milwaukee police released body camera footage that appears to show an officer shooting and killing a suspect who was brandishing a knife at another person.
The suspect, a 43-year-old adult man, was shot and killed on Tuesday less than a mile from the Republican National Convention (RNC). Police say the suspect had two knives and was arguing with an unarmed man at the time he was shot. WISN report. of picture It began with officers repeatedly yelling at a person in the distance to “stop” and “drop the knife.” When the suspect began to move towards another person, officers appeared to fire at the suspect, who fell under a hail of bullets. “Stop shooting! Stop shooting! Stop shooting!” officers yelled.
“At this time, we do not believe this incident is related to the convention,” the Columbus Police Department, which responded to the shooting, said in a press release, adding that the department was in Milwaukee providing increased security for the Republican National Convention.

“Someone's life was in immediate danger, and our officers took action today and saved someone's life,” Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman said. Said Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Norman said five officers opened fire on the suspect.

The crowd was seen on camera yelling the name of the man believed to have been shot. “Say his name,” one protester repeatedly yelled into a bullhorn. The crowd repeatedly chanted “Samuel Sharpe.” “Justice?” “Samuel Sharpe!”
Sharp's family identified him as the man who died, WISN reported.
