Silent Witness, Caught 22 Captured on Day 19

Adakai Jr. Anderson, who is on day 19 of Yavapai Silent Witness' Catch-22 program, is currently in custody.

Based on several anonymous tips, law enforcement officers from the Page Police Department attempted to locate Anderson at a local business. However, he was able to sneak away. Following public tips and pressure from law enforcement, Anderson turned himself in on Monday, February 19, at the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.

On November 13, 2021, Anderson was arrested by Page police on two counts of assault with intent/recklessness/injury, four counts of domestic violence, and two counts of disorderly conduct and fighting. On January 26, 2022, he was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Anderson had violated the terms of his probation and had a nationwide felony arrest warrant.

He is currently being held in the Yavapai County Jail awaiting his next court appearance.

Silent Witness, Caught 22 Captured on Day 21

On day 21 of Yavapai Silent Witness' Catch 22 program, fugitive Jennifer Christine Knack was captured.

On Thursday, February 22, agents with the U.S. Marshals Service were able to locate and arrest Knack in El Cajon, California.

In November 2019, Knack was driving his vehicle when he observed a Prescott police officer driving erratically. After Knack failed a field sobriety test, he was arrested for drunk driving. During the search, officers discovered a clear plastic straw with white residue inside. Knack later admitted to using a straw to ingest cocaine.

Knack was sentenced to probation. However, she had violated the terms of her probation, was a fugitive, and had a national felony warrant out for her arrest.

Knack is currently being held in El Cajon, awaiting extradition to Yavapai County. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office would like to thank our partners at the U.S. Marshals Service for safely taking this suspect into custody.

One man seriously injured in double drunk driving incident in Cottonwood

Deputies with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) say a man, believed to be an impaired driver, was seriously injured Saturday when his speeding vehicle left the road and fell down a steep embankment. did. Meanwhile, a second suspected drink-driver was also arrested as he tried to overtake emergency services, including a helicopter, at the scene.

At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, a police officer noticed a vehicle running out of control on Main Street in Cottonwood. The vehicle was speeding and crossed the center line multiple times, and officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop as it turned onto Highway 260. . However, the driver turned off all lights and accelerated to 160 mph. Just a few seconds later, the car failed to make the turn and slid off the road, sliding down a 60-metre slope. The driver, a 22-year-old Cottonwood resident, was thrown from the vehicle halfway down the embankment and suffered serious injuries, including a possible fracture to his neck. Deputies requested a helicopter to transport the man to Flagstaff Medical Center.
