YUMA, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma Police Department said it had to block off part of a busy street during the standoff.
On the night of Monday, February 20th, we were able to see police activity on 24th and 1st Avenues.

Police say they detained a man with mental health issues who tended to run around and throw stones at passing cars.
He was taken to a mental hospital for further treatment.
Yuma police say they cannot make arrests because of the disease.
Fortunately no injuries were reported.
