KINGMAN, AZ – Community organizations in the Kingman area will network, share equipment and learn new skills at a resource sharing event on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You can get the chance to learn Community Organization Leaders, Volunteers, and those interested in finding volunteer opportunities are invited to the Pop-Up His Community Organization Incubator, which will be held in the Community His Room at His County of Mojave His Kingman Annex. The event is modeled after a business he incubator that provides resources, space and guidance to small businesses. There is no charge, and participants can drop in at any time that fits their schedule.
March’s topic is ‘Communication’ and will begin with 30 minutes of networking before moving on to how to use the social media platform Discord. The session ends with an overview of how to write a press release by a local spokesperson. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or pen and paper for hands-on practice.
Event organizer Erin Roper said: “It could be something as simple as lending a folding table and chairs, or it could be something more complex like navigating the process of becoming a qualified charity. It all depends on who gets involved and what they are willing and able to offer.”
