Popular “Seed to Supper “Gardening Program Coming to Lake Havasu City | The Buzz -The buzz in Bullhead City – Lake Havasu City – Kingman – Arizona – California

Mojave County, Arizona (July 6, 2023) Heat, wind, lack of rainfall, and overall poor soil quality may leave Mojave County gardeners wondering how to grow their food. Arizona Health Zone, in partnership with the Mojave County Public Health Department, will host a seed-to-dinner gardening program in Room A of the City of Lake Havasu Mojave County Library on July 15, 22, and 29 from 2-4 p.m. Hold a program. 1770 McCulloch Boulevard.

Each week includes two separate one-hour presentations. Classes are progressive and designed so that one can build the other.

“Gardening in the desert can be difficult, but it can be done,” said Zen Mochalski, a health education specialist in Health Zone, Arizona. “Our goal is to help residents grow healthy, delicious food.” This free three-week series takes participants from vegetable/orchard development to harvest. This program is useful for both first-time and experienced gardeners. Mochalski added: “I would never want to raise my hand and quit. You can grow food in the desert.”

The series is open to the public. Capacity is his 75 and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
